This course is designed for the personnel who will be involved in developing and implementing the HACCP system, including the key personnel from the Store (material and product), Production, R&D, Quality Control, Maintenance, HR/Training, Administration, Purchasing/Procurement, and Logistics Department.
It is also suitable for those who would like to enhance the understanding of Food Safety Hazards and HACCP Principle.

Ms Rachel Yap was graduated from Universiti Pertanian Malaysia (UPM), Serdang, Malaysia with BSc (Hons), majoring in Industrial Chemistry. She is a registered chemist under Institute Kimia Malaysia (AMIC) and has many years practical experience in her field.
She has worked as a R&D chemist in a multinational ink manufacturing company where she was responsible for product development, bench-marking and technical service. She was sent to oversea training which has enhanced her technical know-how, problem solving and leadership skills.
In a Petrochemical company, she was trained in oversea in QC & laboratory operations related activities, and had successfully set up QC & process monitoring system until commission of operations. During her service in the company, she was responsible for company wide QC activities, trouble-shooting and technical service. She was a member of the Training and Development Committee and involved in establishing the Competency Based Training and Development (CBT) system for the company. She was later promoted to Senior QC Engineer & Deputy QMR by the management , responsible for the development and implementation of ISO 9002 project besides the routine QC activities.
In Year 1999, Rachel turned into consultant in a multi-national consultancy company, and has been assigned to provide consultancy and training services to various industries on quality, environment & safety & health management system.
In year 2003, she joined Elco Management Consultants for career advancement. Being a Principal Consultant, she continues to render training & consultancy services for various industries and programs, including Quality (ISO 9001), Environment (ISO14001), Safety & Health (OHSAS18001 / MS1722), Food & Feed Safety (HACCP/GMP/IFIS), Medical Device (ISO13485/CE Marking) and Accreditation for Testing & Calibration (ISO17025), and other product and management system.
Rachel is a certified Safety & Health Officer (by NIOSH), and was trained in Risk Assessment for Chemical Exposure. From vast experience in training, Rachel has been certified by PMSB as a Certified Trainer (Train-the-Trainer) in enhancing the training provision.
All our training programs will be conducted by using English and Bahasa Malaysia
