Six Sigma is a proven methodology in many organizations to reduce process & product variation, reduce waste and improve business profitability.  Six Sigma Green Belts are a vital component to any successful Six Sigma program. In addition to supporting projects and Six Sigma Black Belts, Six Sigma Green Belts can lead their own projects, thereby boosting the financial success of the entire Six Sigma improvement program.

This training program provides delegates with an in-depth knowledge of the Six Sigma improvement roadmap and methodology, and hands-on experience in applying Six Sigma tools.  This training course is designed base the syllabus of six sigma green belt certification offered by American Society of Quality (ASQ)

SIX SIGMA GREEN BELT KEY TOPICS TRAINING APPROACH
  •  DMAIC Six Sigma process improvement roadmap

  • Process thinking and mapping

  • Process and statistical analysis tools

  • Applications of Minitab R15 statistical analysis software

This practical course combines classroom teaching, practical exercises, group discussion and case study with actual factory based projects to provide a complete action learning experience.  The course has been designed to enable all participants leave the training with a set of new knowledge, tools, skills and direct experience of how to implement Six Sigma program in a real company setting

PREREQUISITES COURSE REQUIREMENTS
Attendees should have a Six Sigma improvement project to work on during and between training sessions. Your instructor will be available to assist you in project selection if required.

WEEK 1

Day 1 : Six sigma and Minitab software overview

Day 2 : Six sigma DEFINE phase

Day 3 : Six sigma MEASURE phase

Day 4 : Six sigma MEASURE phase

Day 5 : Six sigma MEASURE phase

END OF WEEK ONE :

Project:
Identify six sigma improvement project while verifying baseline data. Six sigma project performance indicators are identified. Potential root causes of problem are screened & verified.

Results:
Projects identified. Charters established. Project timeline is established. Critical to quality factors are identified and measured.

WEEK 2

Day 6 : Six sigma ANALYZE phase

Day 7 : Six sigma ANALYZE phase

Day 8: Six sigma IMPROVE & CONTROL phase

Day 9: Six sigma IMPROVE & CONTROL phase

Day 10 : Six sigma project closure and examination

END OF WEEK TWO :

Project:
Statistical analysis verifies process parameters, identify source of process variation and deficiency. Establish and implement improvement actions.

Results:
Focus of Improve phase identified. Monitor and control systems focus on continuous improvement
