FSSC 22000 is a comprehensive scheme developed for Food and Feed Safety Management Systems. It enables the organization to have confidence in producing safe product and supply throughout the food chain.

The scheme is fully recognized by the Global Food Safety Initiative (GSFI), the benchmarking body for the harmonization of international food safety standards, along with other food safety management schemes like the BRC, IFS and SQF schemes

FSSC22000 (Version 5) combines the requirements of ISO 22000:2018 (Food Safety Management Systems requirements), sector prerequisite programmes (PAS or ISO/TS 22000-X) and additional requirements, cater for manufacturers of food and beverage, ingredients, animal feed and pet food, packaging manufacturers, food transporters and catering services.

In the version 5, FSSC20000 has introduced FSSC22000-Q which has incorporated ISO9001 Quality Management System as an option for the industries to go for certification.
